They were super patient and helped me with whatever questions I had. They're also very honest, I brought i lamp in that I thought needed to be completely rewired and they figured out that it was just a small a problem and which they fixed then and there for 5 dollars. Love this place, a great east village staple.

These are unethical shopowners.
Their prices are higher than suggested list prices of the manufacturer.
I bought 2 Glite bulbs from them which sell for 10 to 15 dollars at
other retailers. They charged me 27.95 each, the suggested
retail price is 18.95.
Beware of stores that have store credit as a return policy.
Once they have your money they don't care.
Save yourself a headache. These are dishonest people,
there is no reason to patronize them.

This is a small but solid bulb and consumer lighting store. The staff is really nice, very accommodating and the prices are competitive. Not only that it's located right next door to McSorleys Ale House which is always good for a few cheeky beers after you stock up on all your bulb needs!

Emile (?) the owner or worker in this shop is amazing. My low voltage hanging pendant lights stopped working, and after putting new bulbs in, they still didn't work. Emile asked me to take in the fixtures, we tested them, they worked. So he told me it was either the transformer or the connections. I took the rest of this out of the ceiling (no easy feat!) and brought it in to the shop, we discovered the transformer was dead and one of the connections was shot. So he soldered the one connection (for $ 25), and I bought a new transformer for $ 45. I had to reinstall the whole thing, which took a few hours, but I definitely saved $ versus having an electrician do it. Highly recommend!!!
